How To Make Yourself Smarter Every Day

Do you want to start making yourself smarter? That isn’t suprising. Most people today want to be smarter than they actually are, but surprisingly they don’t know how to begin. So in an effort to help you and show you the most obvious ways of learning I’ve written this article. Not only will help you to know how to get smarter but it will help you understand how others are so smart as well.

We’ll begin with the most obvious way of making yourself smarter. That is reading. Now I know that you probably didn’t want to hear that. Most people don’t want to read let alone have to read a lot just to get “smart”. Yet if you want to actually gain knowledge which is a measure of intelligence by most you have to read. Now don’t go picking up magazines about celebrities or the latest UFO visitor.

The types of material you want to read should contain actual information that will help you or someone else. Why not pick up a Forbes magazine and learn a little about businesses and how they work. You could pick up a Psychology Today and learn what makes people happy and sad. Alternatively you could head over to your local library and pick up a non-fiction book on a subject you enjoy.

Habit is important if you want to train your brain to work faster and more accurately. So develop your reading habbit overtime. You shouldn’t force habbit into your life. That’ll make learning strenuos and you don’t want to strain your brain. Focus on learning here and there.

Another habit you’d like to develop is learning over time. When you are trying to learn about something don’t bother with learning about everything all at once. Instead focus on learning tidbits of information here and there. This way you actually retain more of the information. The more you retain the more you will remember. The more you remember the smarter you are becoming. Yet it takes time and yes develops are not easy to create. That doesn’t make it impossible though.

When you’re trying to get smarter you are actually trying to learn and remember more. So keep that in mind when you are learning about something new, or when you really want to impress your friends. Also remember that you don’t get smarter. You just start to learn more and that gives the impression that you know more than the next person.
